Your new organisation
Our client is a large institution employing over 3,300 staff that specialises in the collection and interpretation of statistics reporting directly to Parliament. The organisation plays a critical role in the UK government's policy direction. They are recruiting for an interim accountant to provide accountancy advice and support to the Data Survey Team.
Your new role
Based in offices in Newport you will work closely with the Data Survey Team to give advice on technical accounting concepts that arise from financial inquiry questionnaires. You will be able to compile and interpret company accounts, including both IFRS and GAAP standards. You will aid discussions and attend company visits for businesses where there is a need to increase the quality of their returned data. Your new role will be part time, 3 days per week on an initial 3 month contract.
What you'll need to succeed
You will possess a vast understanding and knowledge of company accounts. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). A formal accountancy qualification would be desirable but is not essential. You will be a collaborative worker with the ability to make decisions using your own initiative and problem solve with a great attention to detail.
What you'll get in return
£47,000 per Annum (Daily Equivalent) with the potential to extend contract length. The office is surrounded by green space, ideal for lunchtime walks.
