We are currently recruiting for a Private Client Tax Advisory Director to join Kreston Reeves across Kent.

Role Description

As a Private Client Tax Advisory Director you will help manage the Private Client Tax compliance and advisory team across our offices whilst helping UK and international clients structure their tax affairs efficiently.  You will also help manage and expand our Private Client service whilst mentoring and nurturing tax staff.  Our clients include a broad range of HNWIs/Trusts/Estates so you must have an exceptional knowledge of UK tax and also a sound grasp of other business and corporate taxes to not only ensure clients are fully tax complaint but to also identify tax planning opportunities.

CCH Central, Nexis Lexis, Caseware, Digita and Microsoft Office software packages used. Knowledge and use of these packages would be beneficial, but not essential.

The role is largely office based and includes significant client contact. There will also be some travel between our offices based in London, West Sussex and Kent.

The objectives of the role

To help manage the Private Client Tax compliance and advisory team across our offices.

Responsibilities

Along with those responsibilities mentioned above you will:

  • Helping manage the client relationship to become the trusted business advisor

  • Taking the lead role in a variety of ad hoc tax advisory projects for HNWI’s

  • Assisting our legal team in probate and estate planning work

  • Interaction and liaison with our Financial Planning Team

  • Reviewing more complex tax returns/IHT/Trust matters and computations

  • Dealing with Non Dom tax advice

Requirements

  • Chartered Tax Advisor or qualified accountant with extensive tax advisory experience

  • Experience working as a Senior Manager or Director in profession – ideally mid-tier or large regional independent practices

  • Broad experience advising HNWI’s, Trusts and Estate

  • Exceptional client management skills and ability to win business and cross sell

  • Ability to communicate complex tax principles to tax and non-tax audiences

  • Strong team player and a passion for nurturing junior tax professionals
