Your new company
Your new accountancy practice in Manchester has more than 40 years of experience providing accounting, tax and consulting services, specifically for entrepreneurs based in Manchester and the surrounding area. This firm offers support for a variety of different businesses, from startups, corporate finance to retail accounting and due to internal restructure, are looking to recruit someone new into their Tax department.
Your new role
The role of Tax Manager will involve the provision of tax compliance and advisory services to a range of clients. Key responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients as well as offering support to more junior members of the tax team. You will get the opportunity to do a mixture of compliance and advisory work where the split will be 50/50 initially but you will get the opportunity to adjust to your preference. Other responsibilities include project delivery and consultation of risk and technical matters as well as providing training and development to less experienced team members. Developing long standing relationships with your clients and bringing in new business will also be prominent in your duties as a Tax Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have a significant understanding and previous experience of corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory work. Other requirements for this position include an in depth, up to date knowledge of taxation and the ability to manage a small client portfolio. The ideal candidate will also have a CTA / ACA/ ACCA qualification that is looking to progress their career in tax management within a leading accountancy firm.
