My client is an award winning tax speciailist accountancy firm. They are growing their VAT recovery team.
My client, an award-winning global tax services and software provider, is seeking to recruit an experienced VAT Recovery Manager to lead a team of VAT professionals through consultation and compliance projects for their clients in Europe. This role is an exciting opportunity to autonomously lead a project team working with prestigious clients, making a difference to the service provided and being rewarded according to your performance.
Coordinates and conducts VAT Recovery projects of the European Practice
Works with internal and client Information Technology personnel to extract Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data
Regularly uses the clients bespoke software, to analyze large quantities of data to identify VAT recovery opportunities
Visits client premises (both domestic and international) to extract invoices, verify accounting treatment of transactions and present reports
Prepares formal correspondence to, and negotiates with, Tax Authorities on behalf of clients
Drafts reports for clients on results of VAT Recovery projects.
Prepares status reports, internal updates, project trackers, and related documentation.
Coordinates VAT Recovery projects with United States, Canadian and European partners.
Maintains involvement with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general business process reviews and documenting findings.
Undertakes VAT technical research as required Performs other duties as assigned
Experienced in VAT and auditing
Educated to degree or higher
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
