Multi Partner firm, seeks Qualified Manager to join their expanding firm

Your new company are looking for a qualified manager. You'll work with a diverse portfolio of clients consisting of differing size and structures, within a range of industries. This is a client facing role and you will need to demonstrate experience in leading a team, with a proven track record of working to deadlines and budgets.

The Role:

  • Planning management, execution and review of audit, tax and accounts preparation assignments;
  • Management and training of staff;
  • Responsibility for assignment time management, together with overall assignment profitability;
  • Remain informed about technical and regulatory accounting changes & incorporating changes and updates into the firm's compliance and reporting procedures;
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements by junior staff members: Limited, LLP, Partnership, Trust, Charity, Sole Trader, UK and overseas entities;
  • Corporate and personal tax compliance, planning and advisory services;
  • Liaise with partners and clients (individuals or businesses) in respect to day to day enquiries;
  • Keep accurate time records during the performance of your duties;
  • Prepare formal correspondence to various parties (Clients, HMRC, Banks, Companies House etc.);
  • Ad hoc special assignment work as required


For the successful candidate, the following salary and benefits are available:
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (depending on qualification and experience)
Holiday: Bank holidays + 20 days annual leave increasing with length of employment
Pension: Nest contributory
Training: CPD continuing

Technical ability:

  • Preferably over 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice, 2 years post qualification;
  • ACCA/ACA qualified;
  • In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP (IFRS, FRS102 and 105) and audit methodologies;
  • Team / staff management;
  • Sound understanding of end to end preparation of financial statements from source records;
  • Sound understanding of UK tax regimes and reporting procedures;
  • CCH software experience (or equivalent)
