Hays Senior Finance is exclusively recruiting on behalf of our prestigious and globally renowned client for an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance individual to provide accounting support across the business and its commercial subsidiary companies. This is an exciting time for the business which has seen impressive year on year growth driven by commercial success and the acquisition of new business ventures. With a number of exciting projects either underway or on the horizon, they are looking to expand their team.
Your new role
In your role as Management Accountant, you will play an active role within a busy finance team, supporting and occasionally leading the preparation of monthly management accounts as well as regular production of reports for distribution to key internal and external stakeholders. You will be involved in the budgeting cycle and year-end accounts preparation. You will produce ad-hoc reporting in support of the wider operation, interrogating data for both operational and financial purposes, providing in-put to the budgeting process as required as well as supporting new operational and commercial developments including improvements to accounts systems and processes. With new and exciting projects on the horizon, the right candidate will have the opportunity to take a lead finance role in some of these moving forward and this is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking individual to grow and advance within this business.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified or QBE Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will have a proven track record within a similar role and have an in-depth understanding of the management accounting process with a proven understanding of reconciling balance sheet accounts. The successful candidate would have experience learning and adapting to new IT systems with emphasis on the use of data analysis and business intelligence tools being a key advantage. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential with experience of lookup functions and pivot tables being key. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys streamlining business processes and continually striving for improvement.
