Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with a growing housing association based in Central London to recruit an Interim Senior Financial Accountant. The role joins the organisation during a period of rapid change and reports into a knowledgeable Director of Finance who is putting their stamp on the department.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

*Produce new policies and procedures to ensure sound financial controls are in place moving forward.
*Preparation of accurate financial accounts and run a smooth year end process.
*Ensure that the Association's tax affairs are as efficient as possible under the regulations.
*Deliver a strong accounting function to the wider business, producing ad hoc reports to assist with decision making.
*Regularly check and reconcile data posted into various ledgers accurately reflect the Group's financial position.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an already experienced financial accountant to gain wider exposure in a role that is critical for the organisation moving forward. This role will be responsible for producing a new set of policies and procedures for the finance team and therefore has the chance to leave a lasting impact.

The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA) with extensive knowledge of working in a financial control environment. You will have experience of updating policies and procedures and preparing accounts with limited assistance. Experience of working in the housing sector is beneficial but experience working in other sectors will not preclude you from selection.
