Your new role
Advise the company on all strategic & operational matters relating to finance to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities. To advise on and support contract & pricing matters. Delivery of annual statutory company accounts. Monthly management accounts. Working capital analysis. Tax accounting. VAT lead and HMRC principle contact. Effective budgetary control and management of authorisation of expenditure. Financial input to major capital projects and maintenance projects. Forecasting, monitoring & management of cash flow. Develop & review financial systems, procedures & controls. Ensuring the Finance function has a major involvement in the business management process. Monitoring of performance. Provision of accurate & relevant information to the board. Ensure there are integrated activity and financial reporting systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least five years post-qualification experience. You will be available immediately or at very short notice for an assignment that will last from 3-6 months. Financially literate with ability to critically review, challenge and effectively use finance information for decision making. In depth knowledge of company statutory accounting. Highly developed knowledge of best financial and commercial services practice gained in a complex, commercially-facing environment. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation & relationship skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Continuous improvement & change methodologies.
