This role is a genuinely exciting opportunity as the financial accounting team consists of both qualified and part qualified accountants in addition to a mix of brand new team members and existing team members. The role also contains some interested projects such as:
*Creating a new strategy for the treasury function of the charity.
*Helping to set a new commercially focussed culture within the finance team.

Some of the additional responsibilities of the Head of Financial Accounting include:
*Manage the financial accounting team on a day to day basis.
*Ensure charity meets all statutory financial requirements including leading on the year end process.
*Producing VAT returns for the charity.
*Ensuring accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations are completed.

The London charity is one of the largest in the UK (over £100m+ turnover) going through an exciting period of change within finance. The charity is going through a restructure and is specifically looking or candidates who are commercially focussed and forward thinking.

The successful candidate will need the following experience:
*CCAB qualified accountant.
*Previously led a year end process for a large and complex organisation.
*Flexible to work in a changing environment.
*Previous charity (or wider not for profit experience, including social housing or education) is desirable but not essential for the post.
*Managed a large team within a complex working environment.
