Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Financial Reporting and Systems Accountant who is always looking at ways to improve processes.

You will be required to support the wider business and build successful relationships with key stakeholders in order to drive the company strategy.

Client Details

You will come with a commercially focused mind coupled with a deep understanding on financial reporting, the ability to understand and interpret data.


You will be responsible for the following:

Centralised reporting:

  • Build and develop reporting platform to deliver individual business requirements with consistent architecture
  • Work with business units to understand requirements and ensure objectives met
  • Work with FBP team to understand current reporting deliverables and centralise/automate delivery
  • Work with OEKG colleagues to ensure European system output consistent with UK and look at opportunities to utilise current work carried out by central team

System development:

  • Lead the development of financial systems to enable us to better utilise functionality and deliver greater insight across the business
  • Ensure integrity and internal consistency of data across multiple systems so that reliance can be placed on output and efficiencies gained
  • Develop self-service capabilities within Qlikview and other systems to reduce the required output from the finance team while providing better visibility for the business

Consolidation & FDQM:

  • Own the month end process around ensuring results are submitted and correctly consolidated by OEKG
  • Develop automated integration process (FDQM) with OEKG to enable faster, more accurate month end reporting
  • Develop processes to enable simpler consolidation of intra & inter company trading

Business / Process Improvement:

  • Challenge & improve finance processes to better support business unit and the wider business
  • Support the development of finance systems both challenge and support business partners including IFS / HFM / SAP
  • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
  • Identify and drive forward value creating initiatives across the team e. Input into the development, maintenance and enhancement of management reporting tools and customer profitability reporting


The successful applicant will come with the following skills/experience:

* Substantial experience working with complex systems, demonstrating ability to simplify outputs

* Substantial experience developing and building reports on a common platform to deliver consistency

* Experience working in a continuous improvement environment

* You will ideally be a qualified accountant but those who are qualified by experience will be considered

* Systems skills/programming experience - Qlikview/SQL/HFM/IFS
