I am recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting and Advisory Manager based in Birmingham on a permanent basis and wanted to request assistance in securing an exceptional candidate.

Please note: Please note that ACA (preference), CIMA or ACCA qualification is essential for this role, along with strong stakeholder engagement

The salary for this role is: Between £50,000 and £65,000 per annum

Essential Requirements of the Financial Reporting and Advisory Manager:

  • ACA preference
  • Or ACCA or CIMA
  • Project focus
  • Audit or Accounting Experience
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience within a practice firm (desirable)

Requirements of the Financial Reporting and Advisory Manager:

  • Assist on Financial Reporting Advisory projects with opportunity to lead smaller projects
  • Financial Reporting Advisory is a specialised team of technical experts in UK GAAP (new and old), IFRS and the Companies Act 2006
  • Work on the projects that are very varied in nature and include GAAP Conversions (UK and IFRS), group reorganisations, expert witness work, ad-hoc opinions on the application of GAAP and other general financial reporting assignments
  • Handle an array of small to large projects at one time this involves a high level of time management
  • Have a good accounting technical ability and a keen interest to learn and develop their skills. The projects are UK based but can occur anywhere in the UK and hence the ability to travel at short notice is required.
  • Act as the accounting, financial reporting and business advisory executive and manager on a portfolio of clients
  • Work across a mixed portfolio, primarily corporate entities but also including sole traders, partnerships and limited liability partnerships
  • To be actively involved in business development alongside the Head of Department and contribute to growing the department and the business
