Your new company
A growing, acquisitive insurance group is looking to hire a financial controller to manage the day to day finance operations of the business. The business is experiencing a period of expansion and change and this presents the opportunity to join at a time where there is genuine scope to influence the structure of the business moving forwards.
Your new role
You will be responsible for management of the finance team of 10, ensuring the month end process runs slowly and taking a higher level view to improve process and controls. You will present the monthly financials to the board and senior management a take a lead on the budgeting and forecasting process for the vantage entity. You will be responsible for leading on SOX compliance and the vantage audit process with the opportunity to become involved in acquisition processes as the company continues to grow and expand.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified accountant with big 4 training highly desirable. You will have experience in a corporate business and have a good understanding of best practice processes. You will need to have a good technical understanding and the ability to lead and manage a team.
