To manage finance function and implement process improvement for niche construction business
Your new company
You will be working for a steady growth niche construction business. They focus on road construction and are fast being a market leader in this area. Due to some restructure within the finance function they are looking to bring on an interim Financial Controller to manage the team. This role will be for an initial 6 month contract but there is an opportunity for a longer term opportunity.
Your new role
You will be reporting directly to a strategic CFO and will be responsible for managing the business as usual finance function. This will include managing 2 part qualified accountants and taking ownership of both the internal and external reporting. You will manage the budgeting, forecasting, VAT and audit process.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant who has had previous experience in a management position. You will ideally come from an SME environment so have an understanding of a broad accountancy role. You will enjoy working within a smaller company and be happy with a finance function that is growing and changing.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of up to £350 per day and have the opportunity to run a team without much management. You will work within a growing company going through a period of change and have the opportunity for a temporary to permanent role.
