As part of one of UK's largest property owners you will work with the team to ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting for the Property companies within the Tesco Group and to support the transition to a new financial platform

Main Responsibilities

  • Working with the Bengaluru team in India to ensure, for designated entities, that the period end accounting from both a statutory and management reporting perspective is complete, accurate and timely
  • Working with the Bengaluru to ensure all reporting to 3rd party partners for designated entities is complete, accurate and timely
  • You will also work with the Bengaluru, Treasury and the Property team to ensure that all payments are properly approved and paid promptly
  • Ensuring that queries from 3rd party partners are dealt with promptly and that regular meetings are established with key partners to ensure issues are flagged up and resolved on a timely basis
  • Working collaboratively with Bengaluru and the Transformation team to support the testing and training in respect to the Property companies and to ensure there is an effective cut over plan to minimise issues at go live

Ideal Candidate

  • Independent and pro-active in nature
  • Experience of working in a financial control role in a complex and fast paced organisation.
  • Track record of delivering finance process and system improvements
  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong understanding of IFRS / FRS102
