Our client, a growing service business with a national reach, is currently recruiting for a new position of a Finance Manager to support the growth of a division within their business. Working for an organisation that is experiencing significant growth and development, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a responsible role which will see you influencing the development of this division.

Your new role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager and Financial Controller, you will provide business support to managers, provide financial advice to key stakeholders and control the finance functions of the division. You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts in accordance with group guidelines and will support the enhancement of financial controls within the organisation.

You will manage all accounting operations including invoicing, cashflow, AR, AP GL and VAT / CIS returns in addition to inventory accounting and cost accounting. You will coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts for the business in addition to conducting financial analysis. In addition to your finance remit, you will support the tendering function and review and develop KPI reporting. You will manage members of the small finance team and manage internal controls. This role also involves visiting a site in North England on a monthly basis, which will likely involve an overnight stay.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will be a driven individual who is willing to get involved in all aspects of a growing business. You will have an accountancy qualification and/or relevant industry experience. You will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and will be competent in using Microsoft Office packages. You will be a pro-active individual with excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
