Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to deliver the financial reporting requirements of a key business unit and oversee it's commercial affairs.

Client Details

My client develops, finances, builds and manages various types of projects including transport infrastructure, social infrastructure, Public buildings and utility networks and services. They are based in central London and an opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager (Asset CFO) to head up a key business unit within the organisation focused on building and construction.


Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Financial management of the financial services MSA
  • Demonstrate compliance against project and MSA contractual obligations
  • Management of commercial transactions to the satisfaction of the Project CEO and Board
  • Develop positive working relationship with the Project CEO
  • Management reporting for the Board and management team
  • Statutory accounting and liaison with the auditors
  • Physical presence at the project offices on the Isle of Wight required at least 6 working days per month.
  • Measure and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Management of Corporation Tax, VAT and CIS returns and liaison with HMRC
  • Management of the relationships with company stakeholders
  • Support the interface between the Finance and Modelling functions
  • Manage the Finance database and archiving
  • Supporting the management and operational team on other project companies as and when required
  • Satisfy shareholder asset reporting requirements
  • Promote efficient systems and ways of working
  • Adhoc projects as required


My client is seeking an individual with the following experience:

  • Professional finance qualification; either ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • 3 years PQE preferably in the infrastructure, property, utilities or energy industries
  • Statutory audit experience
  • Exposure to financial models
  • Infrastructure industry experience
  • Management or Board Reporting
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Financial Accounting
  • Tax experience

Job Offer

  • Basic salary between £60,000 & £60,000
  • Discretionary bonus - 10% (subject to personal and company objectives)
  • Annual Leave - 25 days plus Bank Holidays
  • Pension - 5-9% employer contribution depending on employee contribution
  • Life Assurance - 4 x annual salary
  • Hours 37.5 per week (plus one hour unpaid for lunch per day). They offer flexible working outside of core hours.
  • Potential to work from home one day per week if practical and agreement reached with the Line Manager
