Hays Senior Finance are exclusively recruiting a finance manager for an Education Charity in Wiltshire.
Your new company
This organisation is a charity committed to improving education for all. It is a leading curriculum development body, a major provider of professional development for teachers and specialised tuition for students, and has developed extensive resources for teachers. They also play a leading role in two government-funded programmes.
Your new role
This role is to contribute to the effective provision of finance and operational support, and provide support to the Finance and Administration strand leader including deputising when necessary. The job holder will be responsible for the accounting function, the provision of monthly accounts and Management Information and reporting, and the maintenance of an effective system of internal control. The role will include line management of the small finance team, liaison with regional fund holders and occasional attendance at external meetings and conferences. The successful applicant will also be expected to liaise with insurers and legal representatives, contractors and sub-contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge of project management would be an advantage and previous experience in a supervisory role. Experience using Sage is vital and if you have experience using Sage Payroll that would be desirable.
