Job Description

Highcroft Investments PLC is a premium, main market listed company.  It is a Real Estate Investment Trust with a portfolio of 22 commercial properties based primarily in Southern England and Wales.

Due to continued growth and increasing regulatory requirements Highcroft is looking to recruit a permanent part-time finance manager to support the finance director and the board.

The finance manager will have a wide range and variety of duties including; maintaining the accounting records for Highcroft and its 3 subsidiaries, ensuring that all appropriate reconciliations are carried out, liaising with our external asset managers to resolve any queries arising from their rent statements, producing quarterly management accounts, budgets  and other ad hoc reports as required. They will also be responsible for preparing VAT returns and assisting with corporation tax matters.  At the year end and at the half year end the finance manager will work closely with the finance director to ensure that all the necessary schedules are prepared for audit and tax in a timely manner and will assist with the production of the Annual Report and interim statement.

Asset management including rent-raising and credit control are outsourced and payroll is also outsourced. 

The ideal candidate who must have the highest standards of personal integrity will be highly organised, self-motivated, be able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines supporting the finance director.  They will have excellent financial accounting and reporting skills and meticulous attention to detail.  They must be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, and be able to form effective working relationships with the executive directors and our key advisers.

Annual hours - 25% FTE, peaks in January, February and July.

Skills required


  • Experience in business including entering and reviewing accounting data and generating management and board reports
