Job Description

Broad all encompassing Finance Director role, supporting a Managing Director

Privately owned business with a strong social element to the business

Client Details

The company is based in Bracknell and is within the construction sector. It is in a growth phase, and as a result is recruiting a Finance Director for the first time.

The role will support the Managing Director and the Commercial Director in running the business. The Finance Director will be part of the senior leadership team, and will be very hands on in approach. The role will entail producing monthly management information, attending board meetings to discuss the results. The Finance Director will also produce the annual budget pack; produce investment proposals; manage the annual audit process (including preparation of statutory accounts); ensure strong control; and will run the payroll and tax processes.

It is a small team, so the successful Finance Director will be expected to support the business and get involved in non finance tasks from time ti time.

Applicants must be in a Finance Director role within an SME environment currently. You should be a qualified accountant with experience of directly supporting an MD at all levels (from invoicing through to setting company strategy.)

We are looking for candidates who have a direct approach to communications, who enjoy day to day interaction with non finance colleagues, and who are proactive in their approach.

Unfortunately candidates who have moved roles very frequently, or candidates who's recent roles haven't been Finance Director positions, won't be considered for this opportunity.

Job Offer

A salary of between £80,000 and £90,000 depending on experience. In addition there are 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) a work place pension, and family private health care.
