Reporting into the COO and responsible for an annual budget of c£30m in an institute rated 'Excellent' by OFSTED, the position of Finance Director has overall responsibility for strategic planning, hands-on financial management, financial reporting and building strong relationships to ensure they build and maintain a sound financial position. Specific responsibilities include:
*Production of the annual budget
*Production of monthly management accounting packs
*Work with external auditors to ensure all financial information is accurate and available for the annual audit.
*Management of the Institutes private fund accounts
*Running and development of financial and payroll systems
*Attend board, audit and finance committee meetings when necessary.
*Management of a team of 9.
This position would be perfect for someone looking to grow in a challenging and changing role and organisation.

Sector background is neutral because the role is there to be developed into however those with Education or public-sector experience would be great!
