Job Description

Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner. Our client is a renowned commercially focused Government Organisation based in Central London. The position will manage a team of two and be a key contact to the decision making within the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high quality, effective and value adding financial management service, comprehensive financial support, analysis and guidance to support decision making and delivery of objectives. Responsibilities will include:

*Engage with and support the budget setting process for relevant Directorate through the provision of financial analysis, challenge and advice to ensure the use of financial resources in line the organisation's priorities and longer-term strategic plans.
*Lead the Accounts Payable function to ensure that suppliers are paid in a timely manner, ledgers are updated in accordance with relevant policies and procedures and any queries/issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
*Develop and update robust financial forecasts to ensure that available resources are utilised effectively to enable the delivery of Directorate objectives.
*Provide oversight, review and challenge for Finance Directorate performance information, including scorecards and risk registers, through a robust understanding of the operational environment.
*Work with Financial Control, IT and Procurement colleagues to ensure a robust financial control environment is maintained and operating effectively within the Financial Ledger system

This successful candidate will be a ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA qualified accountant, that has proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering role. In applying for this post, you will have strong business facing communication skills and be inquisitive by nature. Experience of handling change would be highly advantageous, as is proven analytical skills in seeing different perspectives of a problem. Experience of managing or supporting a team is an advantage but our client is also keen to provide training in this area.
