As a Corporate Finance Executive at our Cardiff office you will be supporting the Corporate Finance team on all assignments and advising clients on strategic, funding and transactional issues.

As a Corporate Finance Executive at our Cardiff office, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking tasks and preparing drafts across a portfolio of assignments for Manager review
  • Undertaking financial, market and other analysis for, and preparing draft documents on, a variety of corporate finance assignments including;

-Due diligence reporting

-Business planning and financial projections

-Business valuations

-Business acquisitions, disposals and investment

  • Drafting business plans and financial projections using Sage Winforecast and Sage Financial Forecasting for review by the Manager
  • Drafting reports presenting financial information suitable for a range of audiences, including clients, Government bodies and funders
  • Using source information and other documents to prepare public and private sector funding applications for review by the Manager
  • Present drafts and summarise issues in internal project meetings with the Director as appropriate and to support the Manager
  • Meeting clients to support the Assignment Manager and/or Assignment or Client Director to take notes, undertake real time changes and prepare action lists to ensure business plans, financial forecasts and other documents properly reflect the clients understanding of their business and proposed project
  • Develop an awareness of funding structures (public and private sector) and commercial requirements to support assignments efficiently
  • Have an awareness of the budgets set for assignments and support the Manager to meet them
  • Maintaining compliance with team procedures, templates and standards and suggesting improvements as appropriate
  • Support the Manager in the process documents for the department including updating the team worksheet
  • Take an active role in team matters including meetings
  • Manage time, balancing the priorities of a number of assignments and provide feedback to the Manager on progress on a regular and timely basis

Build on feedback from each assignment to develop skills

All other duties commensurate with this role

As a Corporate Finance Executive at our Cardiff office, your skills and qualifications will include:

• Professional Qualification (ACCA/ACA)

• Experienced user of Microsoft Office

• Experience of using Sage Forecasting software (Desirable)

• Experience of working in a professional organisation or commercial environment (Desirable)

• Experience of dealing with customers or clients

• Excellent numerical skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Strong attention to detail & accuracy

• The ability to manage own workload and prioritise to meet deadlines

• Hold a full & clean driving license with daily access to a car (Desireable)

• Able to act on own initiative

• Able to work on own and as part of a team

• Able to deal with people regardless of their position

• Flexible approach, and ability to change in line with business needs

• Problem solver with investigative nature

• Act with integrity and respect confidential information
