Your new company
Our client is an international Grade A advisory/accounting firm with a highly regarded reputation in the UK market. This has attracted significant Partner hires into their BRS team and together with a strong track record in internal Partner promotions, Business Restructuring is ready for its next phase of growth. As part of this the team is looking especially to augment its Senior Management community. While specialist teams exist within the overall BRS function the team is deliberately blended so that there is always the opportunity to diversify some of one's work.
Your new role
As part of their continued expansion the team are now ready to engage a Senior Manager (first promotion considered) with a Contentious/Litigious specialism. This is an ideal role in which to grow your business development skills and the firm does reward on work introduced/where one has been significant in securing a piece of new business.
You'll provide senior leadership to the team undertaking business restructuring work, including leading and managing cases and at times deputising for Partners. More details are clearly available but in broad strokes this includes planning, monitoring and reviewing all work prepared by junior team members in the group and assisting in the generation and exploitation of marketing opportunities.
You would also be occasionally leading larger, complex cases, reporting directly to Partners and developing and strengthening working relationships with Clients.
What you'll need to succeed
This could be an ideal role for someone considering coming back from an Offshore placement (assuming a reasonable % of your work has been in this field of Insolvency) or a UK-based Manager with plenty of case/client/staff management experience and a strong understanding of antecedent transactions and other potential causes of action available to an officeholder, plus the ability to identify and pursue these in the context of a variety of corporate insolvency processes.
