Hays Senior Finance are currently partnered with a successful UK wide manufacturing and production business to recruit a Site Manufacturing Controller. This is a full-time job offering a salary of circa £46,000 depending on experience. Your new company is a dynamic and highly reputable organisation and top player within the global manufacturing industry. Joining the team at their Fife based site you will assist them in a finance business partnering capacity, reporting directly to the UK Manufacturing Controller and working closely with the UK Operations Director
Your new role
The Site Controller job offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a profitable and fast moving manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include, month end reporting, preparing the management accounts and monthly pack for the site covering full P & L and balance sheet with variance commentary. Preparation of site specific forecasting and budgeting covering all aspects of costing and revenues. You will provide commercial support by reviewing and signing off capital expenditure projects including all financial KPI's. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the month Intrastat computation and submission to HMRC along with the quarterly internal audit self-assessment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant, ideally with CIMA or ACCA qualification with several years experience in accounting and controlling ideally within a production environment. QBE or part-qual will be considered if you can demonstrate a high level of manufacturing experience and understanding. You will have a robust knowledge of standard costing processes and general ledger. A confident working knowledge of SAP is essential. You will be happy to work independently with a pro-active approach and excellent inter-personal skills. Essential experience of MS packages Excel to undertake complex analysis and preparation of financial statements. You will deliver reports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and you will possess the ability to use your own initiative and suggest new ideas.
