Job Description

We are looking for a cloud accounting specialist to join an expanding cloud advisory team based out of our London office. The role is involved in varied and interesting advisory and project work, assisting our clients on their cloud/digital journeys.

This role is within a fast growing Outsourcing service line, supporting the firm’s key advisory focus, and as such offers great opportunities for career progression.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Carry out systems conversion work & set up systems in cost effective manner
  • Perform on-site reviews of client’s existing systems, processes and procedures
  • Provide recommendations for client’s business for efficient working and best practice based on experience gained from variety of client work
  • Preparing reports for conversions with recommendations and plans
  • Able to assist with proposals for new work
  • Build external relationships with staff from Xero and apps as necessary to maintain relevant knowledge of systems capabilities
  • Understand compatibility of apps, strengths, weaknesses and appropriateness to client’s business
  • Strong knowledge of Xero & Cloud efficiencies - e.g. debt chasing, bank feeds, Ask etc. Able to communicate and implement these for the client
  • Leave the client working in the correct and efficient manner having passed on best practice
  • Communicate internally (Jive) about benefits of systems and apps and software reviews. Share with the team and firm
  • Attend client prospect and systems meetings with senior staff
  • Assist with the client on-boarding process and handover to Service Team
  • Building constructive relationships within Outsourcing and other Menzies service lines
  • Prepare and maintain user guides for commonly used apps
  • Issue timely and extensive client information requests to allow work to be completed effectively and meet deadlines
  • Preparing proposals for new prospects and conversions work
  • Prepare engagement letters for new and existing clients
  • Research and prepare Anti Money Laundering forms for review


Required Skills & Attributes:


  • Eligibility to work in the UK without any restrictions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Xero (and Xero add-ons) and other cloud accounting software
  • Strong knowledge & experience working with SME clients in cloud accounting
  • Either fully or part qualified (CIMA OR ACCA)
  • Experience of working within a Outsourcing Accounting role is ideal
  • Strong commercial skills
