Your new company
Due to recent expansion and an influx a firm of chartered accountants which specialises in accountancy and business management services for clients operating in the music, entertainment and media industry is looking to recruit an individual to look after bookkeeping and accounts work. The practice operates out of a penthouse office in the West End of London and has a sister office in New York and provides a range of services including bank account management; income collection; supplier/third party settlements; bookkeeping and VAT return preparation & submission; payroll; tour accounting and royalties; annual accounts preparation and taxation in addition to general business advice. This is a cool practice and firm to be part of as clients include many household artists and bands. There is often the opportunity of being given complimentary tickets to gigs and shows.

Your new role
This is a permanent position for a bookkeeper. Your responsibility will be to assist in processing sales and purchase invoices; preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations; processing basic monthly journals; preparation of VAT returns and assisting in the preparation of monthly /quarterly management accounts when required.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 12 months relevant experience working in a professional environment, preferably this would be in the music, entertainment and media sector and in a professional accounting firm. You will be an effective communicator and team player. You will be Self-motivated with an appetite for change in a fast paced and technology driven environment with a love for music and a desire to have fun in the workplace.
