This job opportunity for newly qualified accountants in a Top 10 firm has arisen through the growth of their audit department, and are looking to grow their Manchester City Centre office considerably. This commercially focused Top 10 firm offer a broad range of services audit and assurance, tax, advisory and business services and outsourcing services to a range of mid-market and AIM listed clients.
Your new role
As an audit senior you will have the responsibility of leading audit assignments across a range of sectors including mid-market, not for profit and AIM listed clients. In this role you will take a lead in the client relationship and be responsible for delivering the audit assignment under manager supervision. You will predominantly be based on client sites and be responsible for identifying and understanding the client's needs, providing solutions on technical matters. Your daily role will involve assisting in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review, taking primary responsibility for monitoring progress against budget and supervising and coaching junior staff and liaising with clients.
What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking to appoint a commercially astute and ambitious newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAS) who wants to develop their career within audit. You must have working knowledge or UK and international GAAP and have strong interpersonal skills. Any exposure to the not for profit sector would also be preferable.
