Are you a qualified ACA Accounts Senior from a practice background looking to upgrade to a niche and very good quality accountancy firm based in a prime location in the City (close to Fenchurch Street, Canon Street, Bank, London Bridge)? Would you like to work for a global Outsourcing Company which is owned by an international bank and services a number of very large clients, including overseas, listed, banking / financial services and group companies? Would you like to work in a high profile role where you will not only work on large business, but also some SME / rapid growth financial services and technology based clients in the City? Would you like to gain exposure to IFRS and other complex accounting and regulatory frameworks? Managing your own portfolio of clients, your role be split 80% - 90% accounts / tax, with 10% - 20% spent on payroll duties. Your responsibilities will include preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, statutory accounts work in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS, providing the external audit file for clients and liaising with Big 4 auditors, VAT returns, corporation tax returns, liaising with HMRC and other advisory based projects. You will also be responsible for processing payrolls from start to finish for a number of clients. You will also have practice management responsibilities including being the first point of contact for new and existing clients, managing your own portfolio of clients, reviewing work, staff supervision and training and carrying out research and ad hoc projects for clients. Your role will mainly be hands on but some will be supervisory and include reviewing work carried out by other staff members for lower level work.
To be considered for this new role you must be a qualified ACA, either recently qualified or with some post qualification experience. You must have strong academics and you must currently be working for a good quality practice firm with experience of the above duties (particularly statutory and management accounts, as well as some payroll experience). A working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS is also desirable, although training on IFRS will be provided. You must also have some staff management responsibilities, including reviewing work, and managing a portfolio of clients would be an advantage. You must show drive and ambition, and be looking to progress in the future. Experience using CCH Accounts Production, Xero and Quickbooks Online would be advantageous.
This rapidly growing, niche practice with around 40 staff is owned by an international bank, and will offer you a challenging role, high levels of responsibility and future progression to full managerial level in a short space of time.
