Are you a qualified ACA Accounts Senior / Audit Senior / Business Services Senior looking to upgrade to a large Top 30 international accountancy practice firm based in the heart of the City, and be trained so that you will become an expert in FCA rules and regulations, plus also the regulatory framework surrounding all financial services based businesses? Are you keen to be trained so that you can work with and advise high profile financial services and FCA regulated business, and specialise and become an expert in the highly rewarding financial services sector? Are you also keen to work in a modern, forward thinking and international firm, in a small yet friendly team with a clear progression path to manager grade in a short space of time? Based in the niche financial services department, your role will be varied, enjoyable and challenging. The role will involve preparing FCA returns for a wide range of financial services based businesses, and to provide guidance and support in relation to all FCA rules and the regulatory framework which your clients operate in. You will be trained so that you fully understand the FCA regulation framework in order to provide a high level of advice to your clients. You will also provide general accounting and professional services and assistance to clients in preparation of regulatory returns. You will also gain exposure to ad hoc assignments such as financial forecasts. You will also have some staff management responsibilities. The clients you will gain exposure to will include London based investment managers, brokers, private equity firms, fund managers, insurance companies, Lloyd Syndicates and other financial services based companies. Most of these will be small to medium in size although some are far larger. The department is well established, has an excellent reputation and is growing at a very fast rate.     

To be considered for this new role it is likely you will be a qualified ACA Accounts Senior or Audit Senior. You must have a strong exam history, ideally first time passes. It is likely you will be newly qualified or have up to two years PQE. You will be looking to gain exposure to the financial services sector and also be keen to upgrade to a large and reputable accountancy firm where full training will be provided for you to become an expert in FCA rules and regulations. You must also be looking to progress to manager grade in a short space of time. Your current role must include the preparation of accounts and general practice services, as an understanding of financial statements and being able to analyse these is vital for this role. If you have experience of FCA regulated clients that would be a bonus, but not essential since training will be provided if necessary. It is also vital that you are well presented, well spoken and professional as this is a client facing position. Strong Excel skills is also required as some financial modelling using Excel is necessary.
