Job Description

This Accounts Senior will be based in Shifnal and have a variety of responsibilities as a genuine number 2 for the Partner.

Client Details

Our client provides a bespoke business support service that will help identify bottlenecks and process that are limiting your business.

They are experienced in dealing with sophisticated accountancy software packages such as Sage, and can can also assist with legal and statutory compliance visits such as Tax and VAT audits.

They have been providing accountancy and statutory services to business' for over 15 years and have built up an excellent network of contact and business associates, so no matter what service is needed, they will have the answer.

Description

Responsibility for a portfolio of accounts and audit clients

Plan the production of accounts ensuring junior staff are utilised efficiently

Plan and execute audit work

Review completed jobs as requested by the manager and review the work completed by junior staff

Become the first point of contact for clients with any queries or questions and maintaining these relationships.

Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients including OMBs, HNWIs and Non Residents.

Responsible for the preparation and submission of clients Tax Returns.

Profile

qualified accountant by official qualification or experience

self motivated, efficient and hard working

have knowledge of accounting rules

ideally, though not essentially, have experience using IRIS

meticulous in maintaining records

have good communication skills

able to interact positively with staff at all levels

able to take responsibility of a team

able to deal with deadlines
