About the role
We're looking for a manager to join us for a year's secondment. The role would ideally suit someone confident in managing relationships with external publishers, printers, publication warehousing, typesetters and able to project manage our accounting technical publications from first draft through to sales of the finished product - including keeping a close eye on costs. You will also be responsible in maintaining the sales & marketing operations of the firm's online accounting technical resource - 'Inform', as well as take part on 'Project Madison', a project to overhaul the Inform website.
About the team
The PwC Inform team incorporates sales and marketing, content and user management, and knowledge management. Inform is our online resource for finance professionals worldwide. It covers financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP and other national GAAP. An online tool, it provides users access to the latest financial reporting information from wherever they are. The site includes comprehensive authoritative literature as well as access to PwC’s guidance (such as the Manual of accounting), insight and tools to support financial reporting.
Managing the junior members of the team (Inform sales and marketing side) and SDC to ensure that taks are done within deadline and adjusting where needed.
Training and coaching the junior members of the team (Inform sales and marketing side).

Sales and marketing
Responsible for ensuring our marketing materials are up to date for our internal and external customers both for Inform and publications.
Promoting ACS products through multiple channels (online, newsletters, social media - pushing out on various platforms & training dept)
Working with Independence, Procurement & OGC on Inform and publications-related contracts and BRITS entries.
Manage production of ACS publications in hard and soft copy: liaise with publishers re specs, print quotes, print run; liaise with authors, typesetters and publishers over proofs and marketing copy, ensure consistency between publications
Manage ePub/epdf production, distribution and sales/marketing
Manage publication (hard copy/ebooks) sales, pricing and marketing; ensure webpages (Inform, Hobbs, pwc.com, pwc.co.uk) are updated when a new publication is released; monitor revenue vs targets; profit analysis
Oversee publication catalogues (UK and global) updates
Manage relationships with external publications supplier
Deal with publication stock and escalated customer issues
‘Project Madison’ (project to overhaul inform.pwc.com website)
Collaborating with US counterparts and Inform sales/marketing teams in other territories to ensure consistent and effective pricing, sales, marketing of Inform globally
Participate in the ‘Project Madison’ (project to overhaul inform.pwc.com website) sales and marketing workstream and the change management workstream
Testing the 'Project Madison' User Management System
Reviewing the new 'Project Madison' User Management System wireframes and overseeing UK testing
Co-lead the Inform team’s sales and marketing function in bringing in a revenue of approximately £1.2m in subscription and publication sales, and delivering a superior client experience.
