Shared Service Centre for three District Councils, delivering high quality, innovative, efficient & flexible business services.

Your new role
Six month temporary role to provide effective & consistent financial information, advice & support. Preparation & monitoring of all service budgets. Support of the development of the service planning process. Promoting & enforcing financial procedures. Managing accounts reconciliation in line with annual financial statements. Assisting with the development & implementation of robust financial charging models. Consulting & influencing key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or possibly part-qualified if having local government accounting experience. Sound financial & management accounting knowledge. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to present financial information to non-finance colleagues. Strong analytical skills. Budget management and control systems experience.
