iMPART Recruitment Ltd are recruiting an Interim Senior Finance Manager (Property) for a 7 month fixed-term contract with a major, internationally recognised, educational institution. Founded well over a century ago, it is comprised of over 30 individual entities to include specialist independent colleges and acclaimed academic institutes. The organisation is expanding and seeking to improve their all-round performance.

Created by the incumbent being seconded on to a large scale change project, the Interim Senior Finance Manager (Property) will manage a team of 4 staff (2 of whom are qualified) who support the Property & Facilities Management team. The Interim Senior Finance Manager (Property) will report into the Deputy Finance Director and specific duties will include:  
  • Oversee the production of timely and accurate month end reports to include reporting on actuals / variances, commentary & analysis and forecasting.
  • Ensure KPIs are reported and any remedial action is taken by stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the overall investment strategy by building models / investment appraisals (inc. DCF, IRR, NPV) to assess potential outcomes.
  • Lead on the creation of in-depth business cases to support the above.
  • Provide support to the on-going change project and designing new reports.
  • A range of ad hoc analytical and project work.
The successful candidate for the post of Interim Senior Finance Manager (Property) will be a qualified accountant who has real experience of either supporting a commercial / mixed-use property portfolio or a range of other large scale capital projects. Further, candidates must possess proven staff management experience, significant management reporting and financial modelling skills and the ability / communication skills to build key relationships with non-finance stakeholders. Those with experience of the not-for-profits sector are welcome to apply and any exposure to Agresso would be a slight advantage. Finally, candidates must be on a week’s notice or less.

Salary: £55000 - £62000 + 18% pension + 30 days hols + bens (pro-rata). Candidates who wish to be engaged on a daily rate basis may also be considered.
