Further information

Centrica Energy is in the spotlight as our role in finding essential oil and gas supplies becomes more and more significant both internationally and at home. Our continuing success is driven by a high performance culture where the achievements of our people really matter and make a difference. If you would like to raise your profile with a FTSE Top 25 energy company, now is the time to do it.

We are currently recruiting a Tax Manager, with experience in transfer pricing and value chain analysis, to be based in our Upstream Head office in Aberdeen.
The purpose of the role is to add value to the Centrica Energy Upstream business through design and implementation of high-quality cost allocation and pricing methodologies and processes. You will act as a tax focal point for our teams in Aberdeen.

You will provide detailed and insightful analytical support to Centrica’s upstream tax lobbying activity and group planning initiatives. With regular tax updates and insight to senior management, you will help Centrica to position itself to benefit from strategic opportunities.

You will support the development and maintenance of upstream fiscal strategy; and you will be required to gather, analyse and present evidence to internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a group tax team based in Aberdeen and Windsor, with links to a broader international team.
The successful candidate will have experience of business analysis and presentation in an MBA, business consultancy or similar environment. Exposure to working with government or in a political lobbying environment would be beneficial, as would Upstream Oil and Gas experience.
