Our client is a large, high profile, forward thinking Central Government Agency.  We require a Senior Financial Accountant to address process issues and implement change in order to bring its finance function back in line with demanding reporting and accounting targets.

This an exciting and challenging role for a qualified accountant seeking to apply their technical knowledge in a practical, results driven environment. You will reoprt into the Head of Financial Accounts, work on the process underpinning the production of the agency’s two main accounts. You will ensure there are clear communication lines across the department, standardising the approach to the accounts production process. You will also be required to assist with  the relationship between the organisation and its Big 4 / NAO auditors.

We are therefore looking for an exceptional professionally qualified accountant who has a strong track record of career advancement to date and a excellent academic background.  We are looking for someone with a strong technical understanding of statutory reporting, having gained direct or audit experience in this area. You should be driven and highly motivated by deadlines and process improvements.

You will currently be working within the private or public sector, but should have experience in audit,comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and experience of preparing or auditing complex accounts.
